As a team, design a multi-use complex on the Southwest corner of Tuttle and Hirth Road in Dublin, Ohio. Fulfill all the requirements in the architectural program.
After discussion and research it was decided that our multi-use complex would focus on wave-like, organic forms to differentiate it from the typical architecture style seen in Columbus, Ohio.
Our team decided it would be best to separate the complex into three buildings. These structures would be residential, commercial, and office space. I was tasked with completing the apartment building for the site.
When choosing materials, I wanted the building to have a brutalist and deconstructivist feel. The metal and concrete achieve this, while the the wood and glass give a more inviting balance, drawing parallels with clear waves and natural beauty.
